My New Best Friend
Posted on May 13, 2011
After months of searching, I’ve found my new best friend- a paper cone of fried goodness. Well, really it’s a fritti hut where a gal like myself can enjoy the best things in life– fried calamari, gamberi (shrimp), artichokes, olive ascolane (diced meat stuffed olives), mozzarella, alici (sardines) and paranza (small fried fish) with a glass of wine, prosecco or . . . wait for it. . . Veuve Clicquot. Yep, fried fish and Veuve. Inflation has hit my cheap date status. The most expensive fritto will set you back 5 euro, plus 13 euro for a glass of Veuve Clicquot.
Who’s ready to join me?
Corso Vittorio Emanuele (202/204) and Via Sora
between Piazza Navona and Campo de’ Fiori
